Girasole (Gee-ra-sole-le) is a graphic design studio specializing in the conception, custom design and production of high-quality products. Daniela Vitali is founder and designer of Girasole. She started her company selling stationery to high-end boutiques across the U.S. and Japan. As her company grows, so does her range of products.

Girasole, Italian for sunflower, literally means “turn toward the sun.” The art embodies the name: it is light, fresh and pure. Daniela works with each client individually to create designs that provide joy and inspiration. Her love of music, travel and the arts, as well as her fanciful memories of her childhood experiences, are the inspiration for her designs. She tries to capture her blithe youth through Girasole designs using myriad images on stationery, journals, pencils, bags and in the near future more paper products, children’s clothing and accessories.

What makes her designs so unique is that they’re filled with childlike interpretations that transform the things we see around us every day: little girls in triangle dresses, colorful houses with checkered chimneys, and yellow and green frogs to name a few.

During her youth, Ms. Vitali studied piano at Juilliard Pre-College Conservatory of Music in New York. In 1994, Ms. Vitali earned her B.A. in International Language-Business at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.
